There is still funding available in Kansas City Missouri to help pay rent, utilities and other needs. We spoke with Tiffany Drummer, the Tenant Advisor with Kansas City’s Neighborhoods and Housing Services and she shared that there were many programs still with funding available. She shared that if any of the following programs tell you they are out of funding, to reach out to her and let her know.
Anyone feeling financial strain should make phone calls to seek help, work on payment plans or other arrangements before past due bills mount. This is for both the renter and the housing provider.
“I implore — I ask — that you speak with your landlord and make arrangements,” said Tiffany Drummer, the tenant advisor with Kansas City’s Neighborhoods and Housing Services. “Don’t wait until the moratorium (on evictions) is over.”
