Rules for your rentals get written in Kansas City, Topeka and Jefferson City. Too often, nobody asks the people who actually provide the housing.
We’re asking.
Why your answers matter right now
- Kansas lawmakers overrode the governor’s veto in April to pass SB 391. It wiped out Lawrence’s source-of-income ordinance. Missouri did the same to Kansas City’s ordinance the year before.
- After the North Lawn apartments fight, the Kansas City Council created a citywide task force on problem rental properties.
- New officials take office after the November 3 election, and they’ll start writing new bills.
Every one of these decisions touches your screening, your repairs, your inspections and your bottom line. Lawmakers hear plenty from tenant groups. They need to hear from you.
What we do with your answers
KCRHA turns your feedback into real numbers. We put them in front of city, state and federal officials before they introduce legislation. Not after.
